About MeI am an only child and was born in Kingston, Jamaica on August 6th, which is Jamaican Independence Day. I was raised in Miami, Florida, but moved to Pembroke Pines during my Senior year of high school. I graduated from North Miami Senior High and earned my Bachelors in English at the University of Miami School of Education (Go Canes!) I was a high school teacher for 11 years with the Broward school district at Monarch and Dillard High and am now entering my 5th year as a middle school teacher. This is my 4th year teaching at Franklin. I am a passionate teacher and love motivating my students through hands-on learning and implementing technology during instruction. I have three daughters who attend Franklin. They began at Franklin Cooper City and transferred to the Sunrise campus when it opened. They truly love this school as much as I do!. My twins, Allison and Brianna, are in 5th grade, and my oldest, Kayla, is in 8th. In my free-time, I enjoy spending time with family and friends and traveling. I am excited to have you in my class and working together to achieve success!
